This wonderful little book has been updated for
the 1990's. Discover how supplements can help
fight disease and help you stay healthy.
Prescription
for Nutritional Healing (Second Edition) by
James F. Balch and Phyllis A. Balch.
I found this book to be an extremely up-to-date
reference. Written by a doctor and a certified
nutritionist, it provides healing programs for
over 250 ailments. It also includes uses of
maitake mushrooms, kava kava, melatonin, chromium
picolonate and more.
Food
Your Miracle Medicine: How Food Can Prevent and
Cure Over 100 Symptoms and Problems by Jean
Carper.
Carper gets her data from scientific institutes
around the world. She tells you what to eat for
ailments ranging from heart disease to cancer. An
excellent little book.
Stop
Aging Now by Jean Carper.
In this "Ultimate Plan for Staying Young and
Reversing the Aging Process", the author
gives us a great nutritional diet with vitamin
supplements and herbs. A great book for everyone.
Antioxidants:
Your Complete Guide: Fight Cancer and Heart
Disease, Improve your Memory, and Slow the Aging
Process by Carolyn Reuben.
I found that antioxidants improved my health a
great deal. This is a good guide for anyone
interested in learning about these Nature's
protectors against disease.
Flower
Power: Flower Remedies for Healing Body and Soul
Through Herbalism, Homeopathy, Aromatherapy and
Flower Essences by Anne McIntyre.
This is a wonderful book offering many remedies
for healing. I personally find the use of these
therapies very beneficial to my overall health.
The
Yeast Connection: A Medical Breakthrough by
William G. Cook.
I never realized how many of my ailments were
related to yeast problems until I read this very
important book. Highly recommended.
The
Consumer's Guide to Homeopathy: The Definitive
Resource for Understanding Homeopathic Medicine
and Making it Work for You by Dana Ullman.
This book explains how homeopathic treatments are
a safe and effective way to treat acute or
chronic symptoms. It also offers resources of
products and services. I use homeopathy in my
personal care and find it very effective.
Holistic
Healing by Hildegard Bingen, Mary Palquist
& John S. Kulas.
This type of healing takes into account the
entire person-body,mind and spirit and is very
well explained in this book. My body, mind and
spirit all required healing for my complete
recovery.
Acupressure's
Potent Points: A Guide to Self Care for Common
Ailments by Michael Reed Gach.
Accupressure is a non-evasive therapy and should
be safe for all. However, cancer patients
undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, or bone
marrow transplants should not press their points
so hard that they cause bruising of the skin.
Also, acupuncture should be avoided at
this time or be closely supervised with your
oncologist because of the dangers of infection.
Minding
the Body, Mending the Mind by Joan Borysenko
This Harvard Medical School researcher wrote an
excellent book about the power of the mind to
manipulate health. Using psychology combined with
relaxation methods was a great aid in my recovery
from cancer.
The
Relaxation Response by Herbert Benson, M.D.
Dr. Benson explains how relaxation improves
overall health of body and mind. I found it
essential to use relaxation techniques whenever
possible during my battle with cancer. I feel it
helped me heal faster. Why not give it a try?
